About AEIS


Founded in 1973, the Association of Electronics Industries in Singapore (AEIS) is Singapore’s sole representative of electronics business, covering manufacturers of industrial electronics, electronics components and consumer electronics products as well as industrial electronics companies associated with the electronics industry.


In light of the industry’s growth as an economic force, AEIS’ many efforts to help Singapore companies better penetrate and position in overseas markets remain valuable in every level of the industry. Among AEIS’ many services are business matching, news updates, and organizing of talks, seminars, overseas missions and trade fairs. Through the regular dissemination of information and facilitation of communication, AEIS contributes to the raising and maintenance of industry standards.


In the 21st century, AEIS aims to continue its growth to keep pace with the technological, manufacturing and marketing development in the high growth Asia-Pacific electronics industries.


Objectives of AEIS

(i)           to promote the electronics industry within Singapore and promote the local electronics industry internationally;

(ii)         to represent the local electronics industry in both local and international bodies, institutions and associations;

(iii)        to exchange trade and technical information including information relating to manufacturing, programmes and products skills both locally as well as with the electronics industries in other countries;

(iv)        to study and develop technology within the electronics industry in Singapore;

(v)         to examine and promote domestic and export markets for the electronics industry in Singapore;

(vi)        to promote healthy competition through co-operation with the other electronics in the region.

Trade and Investment Missions

Trade and investment missions are organized to help members explore business opportunities and identify joint venture projects in overseas markets.


Trade Fairs

AEIS coordinates the participation of electronics companies in local and international trade fairs.  AEIS also assists companies to apply for government grants for their participation in approved trade fairs with the support of International Enterprise Singapore.


Business Matching

Enquiries from local and foreign businessmen in search of products and services from Singapore are channelled to the members.


News Update

News updates on the programs and activities organized by the AEIS, as well as industry news and statistics, are disseminated to members regularly.


Talks and Seminars

Through its links with major overseas electronics associations and local government bodies, AEIS sources entrepreneurs, industrialists and technologists from leading electronics manufacturing companies to conduct talks, seminars and workshops.


Information Exchange

AEIS maintains contact and regular dialogue with major overseas electronics associations and trade promotion agencies for an exchange of information.  Worldwide Electronics Association information is in our website. AEIS currently has an Agreement of Co-operation with the Semiconductor for Electronics Industry Foundation, Inc of the Philippines (SEIFI) and Memorandum of Understanding with the Electronic Industries Association of the Philippines, Inc. (EIAPI), Singapore Surface Finishing Society (SSFS), etc.
